It’s been nearly two years since I updated our winery blog. So much has happened in that time! One very apparent change is our new website. We’re excited to have an updated look and professional layout. Click the links to find out more about our current releases, where Flaherty is available for sale, how to schedule visits, and so forth.
Another major change is our conversion of an old farm estate house into our new winery. The initial renovation took over a year, during which time we repaired walls, painted inside and out, redid part of the flooring, built two barrel cellars, installed a professional kitchen, engineered a fermentation cooling system, and planted a half hectare of Tempranillo. It was a lot of work—and a lot of fun, too. It’s been an amazing opportunity to design a winery around a 100+-year-old adobe house. It feels like we’re part of Chile’s history and future at the same time.
